Job Description:
RBA Consulting has an opening for an Information Architect, with experience in the intranet space, particularly around Microsoft SharePoint capabilities. The candidate must be skilled in active listening techniques, be highly organized with great attention to detail, and possess a strategic mindset to understand and translate business acumen to IT solutions and design. The candidate will work directly and indirectly with our Enterprise Information Architect on a multitude of highly visible, complex, and large clientele. Effective communication, concise and accurate presentation of artifacts, and a high degree of executive professionalism are critical for success in this role. Job Responsibilities: - Analyzing business, information and technical requirements to develop current and target enterprise architectures. This includes models, business rules and descriptions
- Participate in project scope & definition and review activities with project managers and business stakeholders
- Conducting interviews and facilitating meetings with key business and technical owners to understand current environment and derived requirements for target state
- Participate in user studies to understand user behaviors/preferences and build, from this understanding, informed user interface solutions
- Helping establish business performance metrics and measures to ensure modernization efforts support key business objectives
- Performing gap analysis and develop transition and sequencing plans to guide modernization initiatives from current state to target architecture
- Identifying opportunities to optimize IT investments and align IT investments to target enterprise architecture
- Supporting information gathering and walkthrough sessions with stakeholders to create IA artifacts and reports for review
- Work collaboratively with multiple parties such as designers, developers, and technical architects to develop interface functionality
- Create clean and concise wireframes, use cases, site maps, flow diagrams, screen prototypes, functional specifications and other artifacts to describe the intended user experience
- Define site architecture and navigation that serves as a blueprint of the site upon which all other aspects are built
- Moderate and prepare documents for usability tests, including test plans, scenarios and questionnaires
- Visualize concepts quickly and cleanly through sketching and other rapid prototyping methods
- Participate in formal and informal design critiques, quality assurance checks during production, and governance considerations throughout.
- Be in a highly visible role within the organization, effectively and efficiently analyzing, interpreting, and presenting conclusion to executive management.
Required Skills: Minimum 4+ years of experience in Information Technology (IT), Multi-Business Unit Management and/or consulting on information architecture (IA). Also metadata management, business process transformation, application integration and design. - Minimum of 2+ years of experience in UCD with developing 'as-is' and 'to-be' business information flows and business process modeling analyzing business requirements, and working with SMEs from functional areas.
- Minimum of 2+ years working with Microsoft SharePoint platform.
- Proven experience supporting large JAD sessions with technical and business stakeholders to determine business process, data assets and interoperability requirements.
- Highly demonstrable skills creating user flows, sitemaps, wireframes, screen prototypes and functional specifications.
- Independent with strong initiative, but also an enthusiastic team player.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this position.
- Experience interacting with stakeholders to gather and draft requirements.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills including a sense of urgency to resolving project, personnel, and customer issues is a must.
- Desire to be a team player that contributes to the overall project success and company growth.
- Bachelors degree is required
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of Applications
